When our heart, bodies and minds are in unity and harmony, we are in coherence. This can also be called cognitive resonance. We are at peace, at ease within ourselves and our surroundings. The best possible outcome remains available. When we lack coherence, we are not at peace with our surroundings. We are in dissonance. Cognitive dissonance is when we are in conflict between one or more opposing beliefs and our environment has one or both at odds with each other. We are immediately in dis-ease. The best possible outcome is not probable. If we put our children through fearful situations they don’t understand, we are setting up dissonance.
Is the scientifically measurable alignment between what your mind believes and what your heart feels. The HeartMath Institute has led the way in discovery, research and development of equipment to gauge and the training to control the level of one’s coherence.
